Nick Ellwood works as a reportage artist and illustrator and primarily draws on location to help tell the stories of today. Always starting from his carefully observed drawings, Nick creates work for print, design, digital media, theatre, site-specific works, exhibitions and TV. Nick trained at Chelsea College of Art and Middlesex University School of Art and Design.

Recent art reportage projects include drawing refugees and the camps in Northern France as part of Arts Council England funded project looking at evolving attitudes towards migration “I can see England” and the changing face of London’s Soho for the Guardian.

Clients include: the BBC, Museum Trust, English Heritage, the Guardian, Arts Council England, The National Coal Mining Museum, Visit England, The Migration Museum Project, Random House Publishing, Hatchette Books, The Tatler, Management Today, The Big Issue, Warner Brothers, Grolsch Beer, Harvard University, The University of York, West London University, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Freedom Studios and the Cultural Olympiad 2012.
